Effective fall 2017 census, IU will no longer include high school students taking dual-credit courses in official counts. The new definition will produce a more realistic and stable view of enrollment trends and more accurately reflect the breadth of the university's programs, resources, and presence in local communities going forward.
Because of the new definition, IU's fall 2017 enrollments may reflect a significant change over fall 2016 numbers. Dependent on the campus, enrollment numbers may change between 7 to 29 percent.
